On 11 May 1953
tornado struck downtown Waco,
the ALICO building was about the only building in
downtown Waco that survived the storm.
The steel framed building swayed several feet in the
tornadic winds, but only suffered minor damage.
every time I see this amazing building, I think of Waco, Texas!
